Revlon Colorstay: Review!

Hey guys. Just a quick review on a foundation that I recently rediscovered.

A few weeks ago  went to a local cosmetics store that sells various brands of makeup with the intention of purchasing MAC's Studio Fix Fluid but was told by the owner that because of how hot it was on the island, she stopped stocking the product because it wasn't being sold :( Now  i have tons of foundation at home that I don't wear for that very reason but i hoped that the SFF would have helped in keeping me a bit more matte during the day. She suggested that I try the Colorstay as it would do more or less the same thing. So I did. And i don't regret it.

The CS (in Toast) is easily my go to every day foundation for many reasons:

1. It certainly does keep my face matte during the day
2. It gives pretty decent coverage without looking thick/mask-like
3. It LASTS forever. Literally does not budge until I take it off
4. Very affordable ($52.00ECD)
5. Toast is a great match for my NC45 skin

I use my Sigma F80 (blends BEAUTIFULLY) and set it with MAC's Skin Finish Natural in Dark. Result is flawless skin!

What surprises me about this foundation is how easily it blends! I've heard that it's hard to blend and that you have to work quickly with it before it dries but I've not yet had this experience.

So what about you? Have you tried it? Your thoughts?

  1. I have it and love it! Only thing is which I dont like is the pour hole on top, should be a pump. I have put mine in to an airless pump bottle and it is my go to foundation!

  2. So true! I poured out a bit too much this morning :( I actually have the HD one also and i love the fact that that one is in a pump.....Revlon if you hear us...can you please give CS a pump too??? lol

  3. I love the colourstay foundation too. Have been using it for a few years now. I'm also loving Revlon Photoready foundation lately and it has the pump!

I Love i when you say hello :)
