Skin-Care Haul, Books, Shoes

I don't know what's happening to my skin these days but I think I need to switch up the skin care routine a bit. I have clogged pores and I've been breaking out a bit more that I usually do. It probably has a lot to do with the fact that I haven't been very diligent as I was a couple of months ago but anyhoo...

Picked these up recently

Guest Post: 5 Must Have Looks For The Fall

The leaves are changing, stores are starting to put out their holiday decorations and you are tired of shaving your legs. Yup. It must mean its fall! With a new season come new trends, here are 5 looks to copy this year:

Fringe: Your fall accessories should have fringe and lots of it! Purses, clutches, crossbody in a neutral shade with fringe are very cute and edgy this fall. Other accessories like scarfs are beautifully different with fringe. Take it up a notch and find a cute vest or jacket with a simple and low key fringe.

Bold skinny jeans: Your summer coral, mint and teal skinny jeans need to stay packed away but bring out your bold jewel toned skinnies out for the fall. Colors like royal blue, blood red, mustard and plum are great eye catchers this fall. Match them with a neutral sweater and some cute booties and you have an outfit that will make everyone jealous.

Bold Lips: Grab that deep red lipstick and rock it every evening. There is no such thing as too bold this fall! Stick with deep reds and avoid the summery magentas and corals to stay with the fall trend. Don’t be surprised when you have several stop to comment on how fabulous your lips look. Rock your inner bombshell!

Plaid: Fashion week proved that red plaid is in again. No need for a Seattle grunge rock band’s approval, anything in a red plaid is a must this fall. Red plaid button ups can be great at work or dressed down for a weekend with friends. Not bold enough to sport a plaid jacket? Try a red plaid scarf instead.

Braids: That boho braid from this summer can stick around this fall. Instead of a messy look, try a more polished braid using a serum to prevent fly-aways. A French braid is classic and popular this cooler season. Want to impress? Try a bun braid, slick back with a twist.

Bold, beautiful, braids and plaid should be in your wardrobe this fall. Remember never to overdo it but limit one item and dedicate one item to each trend. Keep it simple and let the trend carry itself. The best way to look the most fashionable is being confident and comfortable in your own skin. So own it!

Weight loss update, new hair, foundation...

It's been a minute since I've paid serious attention to the beauty community. I'm not one for too much explanations except to say that I needed a bit of a break and time to do other things. I'm also thinking of revamping this blog a bit (again) but we'll see.

Since we've last 'met' (teehee) I've cut my hair again, trimmed down quite a bit and bought a few more foundations that I don't need (as per usual). But I can show you better than I can tell you!

Wearing MAC's Mineralize SPF 15 Foundation in NC 44- full review to come :)

I hope all is well. Peace, love and red lipstick lovies. Til next time...

Guest Post- The Best Affordable Long Lasting Lipstick

The Best Affordable Long Lasting Lipstick

Recently I have come across a very affordable and great long lasting lipstick. Wet N Wild Megalast Matte Lip Color is the best lip stick/gloss I have run across in a long while. Not only is it rare to find a matte lip gloss, most are shiny, but it also it not sticky. I hate it when my hair gets stuck in my lip gloss. Another great thing about it is that it is not dry and powdery either. Your lips need to be in good condition, but otherwise it works extremely well. The lip color also stays on for a long time, even when eating and drinking. Overall, it is a good deal for around $2 to $3.00. What more could you want? It comes in a variety of colors from nude to dark purplish red. You can buy it at your local pharmacy or online.
