It's been a minute since I've posted a proper haul/swatch type post but for this one I had to take the time out of the very hectic schedule to show you these. I went into Kismet Beauty Supplies last week Friday to see the beautiful Display of Ruby Kisses products. I'd read about the brand but never had the opportunity to try their products. I decided to do some research on which ones I should get and went back and did a little splurge. No regrets so far. None!
Christmas is upon us
again and it is time again to start thinking about what to buy that special
girl in your life. There are some really cool makeup and nail sets out this
year as well as some cute fashion accessories. I am going to give you some
suggestions and try and lead you in the right direction because I know how hard
it is sometimes to decide what to buy.
Sephora Studio Blockbuster Palette Makeup (http://www.amazon.com/Sephora-Studio-Blockbuster-Palette-Makeup/dp/B005HT20D4)
This makeup kit contains tons of eye shadows (96) and lip glosses (84)
along with cream eyeliners, eye liner pencils, blushes, a bronzer, a
mascara, and four applicators. From what I understand it is being
discontinued and you can not get it in the stores but there are some left
Ciate’ Caviar Manicure Set (http://www.sephora.com/ciate-caviar-manicure-P311207)
For the girl that loves manicures and loves to stand out in a crowd this
is the gift. This manicure has a 3-D effect using beads. It is a two step
process to complete this look and it will bring the desired result when
your nails are the hit of the party!
Sari Bag (http://www.uncommongoods.com/product/sari-bag?utm_medium=shopping+sites&utm_source=gifts&utm_campaign=21338)
Handmade bags from India made from recycled saris. These are colorful and
ruffled and just fun. They are layered in silk and rayon in varied colors
depending on the sari they are made from. The inner lining is white cotton
with only a single side pocket which leaves a whole lot of room for
whatever! The bag is closed with a button and loop fastener but has a
fabric cord to tie the bag closed for security. I just love this bag and
think it would make a great addition to any wardrobe.
These are just a few of
the awesome gifts that are out there for Christmas 2012. I have never seen such
a wide variety of awesome and affordable gifts. Best of all you can order them
online and avoid the crowds. Have fun, give good gifts, and enjoy your

I love red lips! I've listed my top lip products to achieve that perfect red pout and believe me, it was hard picking just a few out of all the red lipsticks that I own. What's your favorite red? List them below!
I've been having some really good skin days lately. I can't complain at all. I've been using a mix of products. The Body Shop Vitamin C line which I can forever sing praises about and the Germaine de Capuccini line I purchased from my spa technician*. The latter is great for oily skin and usually use them on days when my skin seems to be a bit more oilier than usual. The Vitamin C line has been fantastic at making my skin brighter and not as dull as it used to look on some days.
Love both of these lines!
Germain de Cappuccini Purifying Cleansing Foam and Balancing Gel
Missing from this picture: Facial Cleansing Polish, Microdermabrasion, Eye Treatment and the Facial Radiance Powder (laziness lol)
My everyday face routine consists of the Revlon Whipped Cream Foundation in Toast, MAC's Pinch Me and/or Gingerly blush, Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze, UD Naked Palette (original), MAC's Captive Lipstick, MAC Careblend Powder in Dark, L'oreal Lipgloss, UD lipgloss (came with the palette). I've been doing a bronze-brown or taupe-brown type of eye, no liner, mascara and a plummy lip.
That Revlon foundation is the truth though. Blends seamlessly. Lasts a long time (never tested for 24hrs) and does not melt in this heat!! It's a smidgen too light on some areas of my face so I warm it up by adding my MAC Pro longwear (NC45) concealer too it which is too orange for me. Works really well!

*For those of you in St. Vincent who wish to access the Germaine de Cappuccini products you can contact Therese at Precision Contours Beauty Clinic. She does amazing manis, pedis and facials. I also get my brows waxed there and she has done an amazing job at helping me to grow them back to a more natural shape.
Kids Company founder Camilla Batmanghelidjh, and Alex Theophanous, founder of global style destination for kids, AlexandAlexa.com, announced the first ever Global Kids’ Fashion Week that will take place in March 2013.
As a finale to the fashion week season, Global Kids Fashion Week (GKFW) will cast a spotlight on premium kids’ fashion, from both established designers as well as emerging names. Runway shows and performances, informative exhibitions, industry talks, and playful activities will all occur over the three-day schedule. All ticket sales proceeds to the public show will be donated to the Kids Company Charity.
The schedule features two main shows – an exclusive media event showcasing the latest AW13 trends from the world’s leading labels and a second ticketed event in aid of Kids Company. The second show is open to the public and will showcase current season (SS13) looks from AlexandAlexa’s brand portfolio.
The event will also include a mix of fun activities for children and parents, with workshops from the V&A Museum of Childhood, a performance from the London Children’s Ballet and an interactive bloggers lounge.
GKFW aims to educate and inspire people about Kids’ fashion – celebrating how this specialist category has thrived and evolved over the past five years. The event is sponsored by AlexandAlexa.com, the global style destination for kids, who have played a major role in the growth of this market. Alex Theophanous, founder and CEO of AlexandAlexa.com says: ‘Kids’ fashion is playful, fun and innovative – we all believe it deserves its own dedicated platform. Which is why we are so proud to be supporting the very first Global Kids’ Fashion Week. With this event, we aim to put children’s fashion on the map worldwide’.
To announce Global Kids’ Fashion Week, Alex Theophanous was joined on stage by Camilla Batmanghelidjh, founder of charity Kids Company, a cause that supports vulnerable inner city children in London. A public fashion show will take place during the Global Kids’ Fashion Week with all proceeds going to Kids Company.

To access the world’s best kids collections without having to hit a high street, they created an online shopping destination for parents. Five years on and the company has exceeded all growth expectations and is a true global player with a thriving customer base in over 100 countries.

I am woman: fearless, elegant, strong. We love women who strike powerful poses, stand out, redefine the notion of beauty – and do it with an inner/outer strength that`s irresistibleand impossible to ignore. Colour is a vehicle for women to flex their femininity and MAC`s new collection reflects this state of mind and style. It starts with dramatic eyes defined by two Eye Shadow Quads that sculpt and highlight, precision Penultimate Eye Liner and extra-volumizing Opulash. Lips pump up with vivid colour to project power while Powder Blush in natural tones softly chisels cheeks. And, nailing it for overall presentation, MAC`s high-gloss Nail Lacquer.

Why do I have two foundations? The online guide isn't very good. For reference I'm MAC NC44/45 and going by the models on the Urban Decay website I should have been wearing the 7.0. It is, however, too light and I needed to add a darker powder over it for it to work. Unfortunately in pictures it had that awful grey cast. The 8.0 fits perfectly.
I got another red lippie. The obsession continues.
I'm putting the UD Naked Skin 7.0 up for sale in my blog sale section. Let me know if you're interested.
Picked these up at a local beauty supply store (Kismet for those of you in SVG) and got them at a STEAL. Paid $30ECD each as they're now going at very reduced prices. Blunt really does make an amazing contour and I love the plummy shades. Harmony is a bit of an everyday shade and not very pigmented on my skin tone. You have to pile loads on to make it show up! Let me know if you need swatches :)
