Best of 2012: Beauty

This is by no means an exhaustive list but I'd be typing forever if I posted all the items I loved this year so here are a few that have become staples for daily use. 1. Maybelline Color Tattoo- I have all of the original release and plan to get a few of the newer shades. These are great on their own or as bases for your shadows. 2. Urban Decay Naked Palettes (1 & 2). I use these daily! I absolutely love these palettes and never get tired of the neutral looks that I come up with. Of course you can incorporate them with pops of color too. 3. NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer- Believe the hype! I'm in the shade Cuba and it's a perfect match for my skin. Blends well and gives your face an amazing look and feel. Of course, it's a tinted moisturizer so the coverage is light and it may not last all day but it's a pretty good product. I usually set it with MAC Blot powder in the T-zone only and I'm good to go. 4. Ruby Kisses Gel Liner in Black- Hand down THE best gel liner I've ever used. Water-proof and will not budge until you're ready to take it off. They also make great eye-shadow bases. 5. MAC Russian Red- My favourite red lipstick ever from MAC. It's a matte bluish red but definitely not the same as Ruby Woo. It's actually a bit creamier (less drying) than Ruby Woo which I absoloutely love. 6. Burts Bees Lipbalm- So moisturizing yet not waxy on the lips. I have the minty one and the pomegranate one. Need to expand my collection in 2013. 7. MAC Blushes- Fell in love with MAC blushes this year and really built my collection a bit. Gingerly, Pinch Me, Sincere and Coppertone were in heavy rotation. 8. MAC Careblend Pressed Powder- Not cakey. Very sheer and smooth. Goes with every foundation I own 9. MAC Prep and Prime Natural Radiance Base Visage- Love this primer. Use this under your more matte foundations and it allows the product to glide onto your skin. It gets rid of that cakey look and gives you more of a your skin but better glow. 10. Revlon Whipped Creme Foundation- Revlon blew my mind with this. The coverage is lovely. It's a whipped cream foundation but it does not feel heavy on the skin. I use Toast and while it can look a bit white on the darker areas of my face, once i use a corrector i'm good to go. I usually set this with my MAC MSF Natural in Dark

Best of 2012: Fragrances

Chanel No 5
Beyonce Pulse...this smells divine
Juicy Coutoure
Miss Dior Cherie
Paco Rabanne Lady Million

Best of 2012: Body-Care

And with no further introduction let's dive right in!
Bath and Body Works Body lotions especially these two from the From Paris With Love collection. They smell sooo yummy and they leave your skin very soft and smooth. Definitely prefer these to the VS lotions I've been using prior.
Bath & Body Works Fragrance Mist in Cherry Blossom
Palmer's Cocoa Butter Body Gloss Lotion
Dove Shea Butter Soap....LOVE these!
Old Spice Fresh Collection...yes I use men's deodorant because I find they actually last a lot better than the women's and leaves less white residue. I love the smell of old spice too!
Top Care Aloe Vera Gel- Great for days when it's too hot for lotion and perfect for the summer after longs days in the sun or on the beach. I've found that it made my tan last a lot longer too.

My 'Best of 2012': Skin-Care

2012 has been hit and miss in the skin-care department for me. I think earlier up in the year my skin went through a rough patch (no pun) where it became really dry in some places and I experienced some crazy break-outs that left horrible marks. It's calmed down quite a lot since them so I'm extremely happy. Here are my best of 2012. Not necessarily products that were released or launched in 2012 but products that I used and loved this year!
The Body Shop Vitamin C line. I've used everything in this line and will continue to use them until they stop working for me. They didn't break me out, cleared up my dark spots and marks and leave my skin looking brighter and clearer. If I had to recommend just three products it would be the Energizing Face Spritz, the powder mix and the Daily cleansing polish. I'm a fan of this entire line though and it contains everything I need including an eye-cream and a facial serum
My Clarisonic mia will forever remain the best skin care purchase I've ever made. I've started mixing my products (cleanser, scrub etc) together and applying it with my Mia. Great for those days when your pores need that extra deep cleansing.
Clarins Multi-Active Night cream. Great for anyone over 24 and under 30. Uber moisturizing. I tend to switch between this the Oil of Olay Age Defying Night Cream. And that's me for 2012 skin-care. Stay tuned for Body-Care, Cosmetics and Hair-Care

As most of you know, I am from the lovely Caribbean Island of St. Vincent and Christmas here is something very special. Our Christams traditions are unique. The sorrel. The smell of home made bread and baked ham. The gingerbeer. The green (pigeon/gungo) peas. The Nine Mornings Festival. I love it all!

2. What is your favourite make up look for the festive season?
Neutral eyes and Red lips!

3. Real or fake tree?
I'd love to have a real tree. This year, I'm thinking of doing an abstract (hanging) Christmas Tree.

4. Giving or receiving presents?
Both. I won't lie. I love receiving gifts :)

5. Do you open your presents in the morning or evening?
